The Haven
New City Arts and The Haven have been community partners since 2010.
This cross-sector, long-term collaboration has provided studio space and financial support for artists and provided arts opportunities for people in our community experiencing homelessness.
Haven Community Concerts
To benefit The Haven or in partnership with the Haven Residency Program, New City Arts hosted community concerts in The Haven’s Sanctuary when New City Arts’ office and studio space were located in the building (2010-2015).
Housing2Home
Housing2Home (2015-current) is a collaborative, cross-sector program led by New City Arts and The Haven.
The Haven Art Auction
New City Arts co-sponsors The Haven Art Auction annually in order to benefit Housing2Home. The live and silent auction provide stipends to formerly homeless families and individuals to decorate and furnish their new homes through Housing2Home.
The Haven Residency Program
New City Arts and The Haven facilitated a 10-month artist-in-residence program in Charlottesville, VA from 2011 – 2015.
