This December, we’re hosting a special New City Arts and Crafts printmaking event with New Suns Print Studio (located in Visible Records) on Wednesday, December 7 from 10:00-11:00AM. Together, we'll have Grit coffee, enjoy Cou Cou Rachou pastries, put on Tattly temporary tattoos (for adults and kids), and make prints together with Sophie McDowell and Kendall King. An RSVP is required — learn more and register below!
We can adapt this activity for ages 2-7, though younger children (including babies) are also welcome to attend. Questions? Email Lindsey.
10-10:15 AM: Get settled, grab a pastry, get coffee, and put on a temporary tattoo.
10:15-10:45 AM: Together, we'll handprint pre-cut linoleum blocks in Kendall and Sophie’s printshop, New Suns Print Studio. The handmade print will function as a frame around polaroids created at the event featuring a portrait of the Arts and Crafts participant.
10:45-11:00 AM: Circle up for reading time, following a short printmaking demo on Kendall and Sophie’s printing press. Take home your craft to display or send as a holiday card or ornament.
Space is limited and an RSVP is required. To help cover the cost of materials, a $5 donation per participant is suggested. To register, fill out this quick form.
New City Arts and Crafts is sponsored by Grit Coffee, New Suns Print Studio, and Cou Cou Rachou.
