Andrea Ruedy Trimble is an artist based in Charlottesville, Virginia who primarily works with ink, watercolor, paper, and thread. Through drawing, painting, weaving, folding, and sewing, her work explores the versatility of paper. Andrea is inspired by connections between the built environment and the natural world, such as how nature intertwines with abandoned buildings over time; how windows frame connections between buildings and the earth, trees, water, and sky; and the effects of our changing climate. She is a juried associate artist member of McGuffey Art Center and has shown her work in galleries throughout the region. Andrea holds degrees in architecture, historic preservation, and sustainability.
